Cheju Island Day 1

Kristine, Fozia and I have arrived in Cheju Island. This is our last last destination before going back to Seoul and as well as Calgary. Cheju Island is known for their high demand in honeymooners with a beautiful scenery as well as luxurious hotels to stay. We are staying at the Ocean Grand Hotel which has the direct view to the island. For the first day in Cheju, we wanted to have a spiritual day by visiting the temples and exploring the cultures. Therefore we visited one of the Buddhist Temple called Yakcheon. One of the Buddhist hall is known for largerst praying hall in Asia.

Then we had a 3 hour Traditional Tea Ceremony at the Temple. It is one of the Korea's spiritual and cultural heritage. In Korean culture, tea ceremonies are held as a form meditation. Also we got to wear the traditional dress "Hanbok" during the tea ceremony. We had a great time experiencing spirituality and meditation.
